Kells Celtic and Trim Celtic Reserves met at The Grange in an all important game for both sides in Group C of the NEFL 2020 League.
Kells made a prominent start and were unlucky not to take the lead when Jonathan Hogg hit the crossbar from a Free-Kick.
Kells then called on Goalkeeper Ben Farrelly to keep the game scoreless as he made an excellent save midway through the first half.
Kells got the perfect start in the second galf when Edan McKay got space at the edge of the box and he delicately chipped the ball over the Trim keeper to give Kells the lead.
Trim responded well and piled on the pressure in the final fifteen minutes but the Kells back four of Daniel Murphy, Hogg, Shaun Doyle and Brandon Browne stood strong to ensure the three points went to the home side.
